Sara Allday
The King’s Sutton Literary Festival was the brainchild of the wonderful Sara Allday. It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that Sara passed away, suddenly and unexpectedly, at home on Sunday 28 September 2008.
She was an inspiration - with unflagging energy, an extraordinary flair for organisation and great fun to work with. Without Sara the Festival would never have become the special event that it is today. We all know that Sara would want us to go ahead as planned, so we will continue her work to ensure that the Festival attracts the great speakers and enthusiastic audiences we have all come to expect.
Please do join us on 7th & 8th March 2009 to meet old friends and make new ones, and to celebrate King’s Sutton’s Weekend World of Books as Sara would have wished.
